We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. Welcome, Jonathan!!

Nice scanner in its day. One of my very first portable bearcats too.
You will not be able to monitor a trunked system with that scanner. You will need a trunk tracking scanner to do that. Looking at the database for Warren, it looks like a trunktracker really will be your only choice with a large state wide trunk.

Poke around RadioReference and take in some information on the different scanners and trunking systems that exist and then strongly consider an upgrade. You will undoubtedly be entertained to no end.

Welcome, Jonatan.

Your scanner does not do trunk tracking.

Here is a link to the RadioReference WIKI page for your scanner (I assume it is a Uniden SC200 handheld): http://wiki.radioreference.com/index.php/SC200

You would need a scanner that does trunk tracking to be able to scan a system that is trunked (a TRS - Trunked Radio System). One important thing you need to determine is if the frequencies you want to monitor are digital or not (APCO P25); this will deterime what type of scanner you need and how much you will pay for it.

See this recent RadioReference thread for some possible new scanners in which you may be interested: Looking for a new handheld (http://mail.radioreference.com/forums/showthread.php?t=44799)

You also may want to ask people in the RadioReference Virginia Radio Discussion Forum. They may be able to help you with your specific county agency. Virginia Forum Link: http://mail.radioreference.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=20
