I’m a little late to the party but, just to offer another suggestion… I use Parallels software to run Windows on my old 2012 MacBook Pro. I use a few other win apps too, but mostly Sentinal. Bootcamp, was an option, but for some reason (I can’t remember), I went with Parallels.

Just thought I’d throw that out there. (y)

Off topic but my biggest wishlist item for any successor to current scanners (Uniden or Whistler, all models not just flagship)if they ever make another one- make an app that goes along with the scanners for Android and Apple so you can update/program your radio from your phone. Not sure if it would even be possible but it would make updating and manually programming scanners on the fly so much easier than being tethered to a PC. 2005 called and they want their scanner programming back

You can buy a suitable windows 11 machine for $200 bucks.
Dell Optiplex units on Ebay sell for dirt cheap if you don't mind adding your own hard drive and OS. Even the ones ready to go can be found for about $90-$120. Usually they're retired office desktops that are about 5 years old but work fine for basic tasks i.e. scanner programming
