Matt,
You can also program in all the talk-groups for the Live Oaks system, and jsut lock out anything you don't want to hear, leaving Ch.1 / 2 open to listen, but if something breaks on another t/g, you can always unlock it and have it ready.

Matt,
Depends on the type of scanner you have. I can help you out if it is an Radio Shack scanner, unless of course you have an Radio Shack Pro-94 model. Not real familiar with that one.

I used to have that problem, I would try to enter 50 640 as Carrollton's Fire 1, but it would keep changing it to 300-02 or something. Finally figured out I had programmed it as a Motorola I when it should have been a Motorola II. It still worked fine programmed as a Mot I, but I could hear a few other people using 300-2 like streets and PD. Not sure why that is though...
