We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. Running RadioFeed with Serial Port Monitor on a BCD996XT.

I can see the data going through the serial port, but the sound card is still connected. Is it normal for the feed to go through the sound card from the serial port? Or did I miss a setting somewhere?

I'm confused, but maybe since I've not used RadioFeed but ScannerCast.

In any case, the sound comes out of your speaker and goes to your soundcard. It's not related to your serial post. Where are you plugging the audio from the radio into?

When I have it connected through the phone jack and use the audio card, it works fine.

Maybe I'm the confused one...I though that the unit would broadcast through the serial port, and send tags and information, w/o using the audio card, through com1...?

No, the serial port is just for the tags. Audio needs the sound card.
