Is anyone familiar with Listening to RR on the I Phone ?
I understand there is a app called 5-0 radio.
I have many LEO's as well as Fire men and EMA that want to hear my Feed on their I Phone., any help or knowledge with this would be greatly appreciated .

Most of the scanner apps offer nothing more than what you'd get by opening up Safari and going to m.radioreference.com as that will play in the background. And it's free.

ActionScanner is clearly the best. I talked to the author and he hopes to add multitask support next year.

Except for ActionScanner, which is a scanner.

It probably depends on how people listen. If they only want to listen to one feed at a time the other apps will work quite well. But for power users that want to keep track of multiple feeds at the same time Action Scanner is the only app available that will let a person do that.

It is almost like someone getting a single frequency receiver Vs a scanner that will scan multiple frequencies. Some people only want to listen to one frequency at a time while other people want to hear as much action as they can. So there is a choice. In the app world they can spend $1.99 for an app that will let you listen to only one feed at a time or they can spend $1.99 and get the one that will scan up to 4 at a time. Being able to decide which one is right for them is part of the fun in this aspect of the hobby.

Right, I was just pointing out that they all aren't the same. I can't imagine why you'd buy a single-feed app in the first place since you can get that for free?

With 5-0, you can still run in the background and browse on Safari. The other apps will close once safari is launched.
