Icom: IC-V86 choppy audio when in motion

Hello friends.

I have owned an iCom IC-V86 for a couple of years now and it has worked perfectly except for one odd characteristic.

When I am monitoring the radio from my car, and moving, or the station transmitting is moving like a locomotive, the RX is very choppy.

attached, is an audio clip of a local NOAA transmitter, about one mile from my location, as I am moving at 45 mph.

Is there something wrong with my radio? or is this normal? My yaesu FT60R Does not do this.

Do a search on "Picket Fencing" in regards to radio. That'll cause choppy sounding audio.

Could the channel in NFM mode? NOAA Wx is always pumped out and splatters a little. NFM is just a filter and could make it sound like that.
