Hi
We have 2 nos of Icom FR-5000 VHF Rptr
One of them of late is having INTERMITTENT Repeat Audio Injection to Tx side
Works fine for few hours the recv audio and CW ID too gets towards TX and heard, couple of hours later the audio / CW Id does get TXed ,
Keying the Rptr & talking into rptr happens but with a Blank carrier
After some hours it behaves normally for 1 or 2 hours
Again the same cycle
Tried reprogramming but issue is same
( for continuous test I put the rptr on dummy load , programmed the CW ID for every min & cud monitor on another handy in my shack ,
thats how I observed that the issue is intermittent over couple of hours )
I opened the covers to see for any component heating etc , but nothing
Also with my fingers pressed the SMDs assuming that during use at site any SMD might have developed loose contact
I also used a my hot air rework stn blower to heat up the solder areas
The issue remains
Anyone else has observed this with FR-5000
Will an ALL RESET to factory defaults resolve ( Any knows how to do a RESET )
Also will a firmware reflash or update the firmware resolve ( is the firmware available )
Thanks
