Too bad ICOM didn't release something like this for amateur use instead of the dopey 7100 model... don't bother asking for the price. It's not cheap.

What's wrong with the 7100? It's a damned fine radio for what it was intended for.

True , but you got to love the remote setup with the microphone controller...

It is an LMR radio... Not really in the same league as the 7100... Got to play with a pre release one... Nice radio, VERY solid feel to it. The one I saw was a remote mount.
