We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. I never realized until today that the larger knobs on the front of my R71-A are green instead of black. I've owned this receiver since the late '80's and never noticed this before. Just looking at it, the knobs appear to be black but shining a flashlight on them reveals that they are in fact green.

The R71A is a great radio. I played with one back in the 80's. I had one myself a couple of years ago ... but it never worked so I got rid of it. I personally loved my R7000 better than the R71A, but I would be happy if I had either of these radios that worked. I think I will just win the lottery and get an R9500 instead.
