Hello,I have a Icom V86 and i was having trouble getting the nut off under the antenna, i just ordered the Repair Tool Wrench for kenwood Baofeng Two Way Radio, and im hoping that this tool will work, just wondering if anyone else had ran into this problem and if they had any success out of this tool?

I haven't used tool for removing the nut, around the antenna, but they put lock tight stuff on the thread of the antenna nut, so it takes little bit of muscle to remove the nut. When i had Ic-V86 i removed the nut, without the tool you ordered.

If you take a flat head screwdriver and hammer and tap end of the screwdriver, not real hard, you don't want mess up the nut, it will loosen the nut, that how i got mine loose to come off.

It is worth taking the backnut from a scrap SMA connector and cutting a slot down one side so you can use it to grip the threaded portion of the connector to stop it turning while you loosen the locking ring.
