I already looked at those. I'm looking for wheelings' tones. Also while we are on the subject does each mabas division have their own tones. such as mabas 10, 2 etc.

As for the MABAS tones, ALL divisions use the same tones (1082.0 / 701.0 Hz.) for MABAS alarms.

As for Wheeling, I have some possibilities but have not yet confirmed any of them off the air. As soon as I get some more info I will post it, but I think they use some combination of 855.5 for group calls with a couple A tones, possibly about 800 and 700 Hz.

It seems Wheeling uses 799.0 / 855.6 for dispatch calls, according to what I decoded with Audition. Pop these in your 396 and let us know if they work. If so then please add them to the CARMA Database as well!

For York Center we have a possibility of 912.0 / 668.3 on 154.415.

For Lombard we have 2 sets, 1122.1 / 912.0 and 1122.1 / 741.3, both on 154.415.

The 396 is currently the only consumer scanner that can use the fire tones, Uniden has another radio coming soon (BR330) that will also handle them. The 250 does not have the capability to use them.

Scannists use the tones the same way firefighters do. They keep the radio quiet until the proper tones come out and then opens the radio to allow you to hear the message.
