Arizona Fire and Medical Authority, North County Fire & Medical District, covers Sun City West, Wittmann, and neighboring unincorporated areas. Fire station 106 is in Wittmann.
Wittmann was absorbed into North County, which had joined with Sun Lakes to form the AFMA. Tonopah later joined, and now Sun Lakes and Tonopah comprise the AFMA, South County Fire & Medical District.
Harquahala Valley firefighters want their board to approve joining with Tonopah and Sun Lakes. It hasn't happened yet, to my knowledge.
Anyway, all of the apparatus carry AFMA markings now.
They are all under the Phoenix Fire Department's Regional Dispatch Center system.
This past Spring and into Summer, there were a lot of wildland desert fires in the Wittmann and Whispering Ranch area, caused by a combination of arson, and carelessness. State Fire, and BLM fire, provided significant assistance to local departments to fight them.
The Circle City-Morristown Fire District covers those areas North of Wittmann. 158.7525 with a CTCSS of 103.5 Hz.
The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office provides law enforcement in the Wittmann, Circle City, and Morristown areas. District 3, Northwest on the Maricopa County P25 Phase II trunked system. Also listen to VTAC-12, 154.4525 (156.7 Hz) where a lot of car-to-car comms amongst deputies can be heard.
