    We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

    If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

i bought a BC 350a with discriminator tap installed. i understand there is firmware i will need to download to my computer but have no clue where to find it or what firmware i need. can anyone help me please. remember i'm a newbie so you might have to dumb it down for me. thanks

C# bat frequency

getting this error. i'm trying but for someone just starting i dont mind saying a lot of this is over my head.
got 1.101 to run after moving lame over from 1.074 but as far as putting in correct frequencies and such i'm lost. i've tried researching how to put these in but i can't seem to grasp it. any help would be much appreciated. this is what i'm tring to fix now.

no connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it

anyone want to try to put this in "for dummies" form so a newby like me might understand it.
