i know this has been discussed before but i'm gonna ask it again. I'm looking at purchasing a new outside base antenna. I will only use it to receive.

The antenna has an impedance of 50 ohms but i was wondering if I could use RG6 to connect to my scanner(75ohms). Will this cause any damage or a great deal of loss of signal. FYI..Will be in VHF

Thanks

You can use it, it wont hurt anything. I am not sure about loss with RG-6 compared to other types of coax though.
