It's been years and I'm lost. Trying to import from Radio Reference to a TRX-1. I went to create a new folder in the Whistler software but didn't find how to do it.
I haven't used the scanner since I can't even listen to the fire dept. a few blocks away but I'm going on a trip and thought I'd try.
Thanks in advance.

If I recall correctly, it's not a direct import. Instead, use the Library Import tab in EZ-Scan. (Note that if you want to use a zip code basis, then the Location setting, under the General Settings tab in the software) must be set as 'On'. That's not needed if you want to import by Preferred systems, where you go through the process of manually selecting a state, the county, then the system types. You cab either import into your existing file, adding your selections, or create a new configuration, to be saved & loaded into the scanner, and/or be copied into one of your V-folders.

Use the 'New Configuration section on the drop-down File menu to start the process.

Don't over think it! Power off the scanner. Connect scanner to pc. Find Whistler app. Do new configuration and go to Library Import tab. Use preferred systems and find your state and county and select your area and interest then import. The import channels will be in the list at 150 to 180. Good luck. Do an update before you get started.

Thanks everyone. I have never liked the zip code thing. I thought using Radio Reference to import was best but maybe I just forgot. I did do all updates and will try doing it from the Whistler library.

After you do all of the above. Then "Copy Configuration to Scanner Memory"! Label the new CDAT file and check the start-up box to start with that file. You should be good to go.
