Has anyone tried to monitor the In Ear Monitors used at concerts by the musicians?
I recently confirmed that the sound engineers can communicate (one-way) to the band.
Googled a bunch of info about this, but curious if anyone has been successful?
Some are digital, unknown if encrypted. 480mhz and 512mhz is specs from different manufacturers.:)

Some analog IEM's can be monitored. They are most commonly found in the 470-602Mhz bands. Any digital formats will not be decodable with our scanners. These are usually 50-100mw signals so you need to be close.

Rf venue makes an antenna in a rubber mat that is laid on the stage, that way the RF is concentrated there, might be hard to hear further away.

James Stoffa made this circular polarized antenna when IEM users complained of squelch noise bursts. The transmitter and receiver are usually vertically polarized, when the users bent over to great fans the signal dropped out, this helps prevent that.
