Posting this in Indiana vs. Uniden since thats where my issue resides. I just received a GPS kit for my SDS100, and in using it, I feel like I am getting a lot of sites that are further out than they should be. I am using the default 10 mile range, but for instance, I was getting the Pendleton tower in Greenwood, and the Knightstown tower in Noblesville. It was too far out to receive anything, so it was just slowing down my scan list.
Is there an optimum range for Indiana where I won't miss traffic, but at the same time I won't have a lot of extraneous sites while I traverse the state?
