I know this has been bantered around but I still can not find a good indoor antenna. I have a Pro-2096 and a Pro-2052. I do not have a lot of 800Mhz stuff to listen to. Has anyone got a good indoor antennna they could recommend? I live in Southwestern Ontario.

You can build your own homemade dipole (it's in the wiki),to pick up most stuff quite well.It works awesome on the lower bands, and still decent for 800 Mhz.It will work better mounted outside, but still works good inside too.

That's a good possibility, if you have the vertical space - which leads me to the next question; can you get to an attic or crawlspace? You'll have much more success with an indoor antenna - assuming there's no siding or metal flashing on the roof - if you can get one up there.

I've got a 2 meter 5/8 wave mobile whip, mag. mounted on a cookie sheet, in the attic, fed with 50 ft of RG8 ... works great. Kinda lousy on CB, but from 50mhz up, it's a solid performer.
