I have a uniden scanner Model #BCD996xt. I had a program that i used to set up the frq. on the scanner. I went to a new computer and have lost it. I don't remember what the name is. it was a fee program. Can any one give me the name of a good free program.

AFAIK it hasn't been supported for years. Unfortunately FreeScan hasn't gotten much love lately either, but at least it's free

I use FreeScan with both my 996 and my 996P2. The program does everything I need it to, so I'd recommend it for your 996XT
