When I first starting using this program, there was no communications with the BC780 Scanner. The comm ports were correct and it was set for the default baud rate.

I changed the baud rate to 9600 and then to 4800 with change. However when I put it back on to the default baud rate,(which it was on at first), the communications worked.

It appears as if you have to reselect the baud rate again upon ititial setup. I also noticed that from time to time, the comm port and scanner type have to be reselected.

Correct Port

No it is looking at Com port 1. I found that it was necessary to shift the baud rate from 19200 to one of the others. After that fails, I went back to 19200 and it connected. But occasionally when the program is closed and reopened it would forget it's settings. I deleted the entries in the registry and let it creat new entries and it corrected that. Probobly Windows 8.1 and with that, I will not update to 10 because the can of worms would be enormous.

Now after al lthis the computer sustained an attack while reserarching disgrams of my BCD996t so I had to restore from a backup. Problem is I lost the email containing my key for Proscan. How do you light a fire under these guys to answer their emails? Fortunately I payed through Paypal and if they do not answer soon, I will file a complaint.

I can stand lots of incompetance but not crappy customer service.

Your original email was sent on the weekend. I just know got back a few minutes ago and responded to your email. I always send lost keys on Mondays or next day if Monday is a holiday. I see you requested a chargeback through paypal. I don't need your business.

As far as ProScan not saving the settings and the baud rate needs changed, I haven't seen that before and I don't believe it's a problem at this point.
