Dear all, who knows where I can get the transcript of the ship-to-shore/ship radiotelephone communication?
For maritime English learning purposes, I need authentic seaspeak dialogue.
Thanks

What do you mean "ship-to-shore/ship radiotelephone communication"?. Ship to shore movements and pilot requests and things like that are done on the Marine VHF Band - 156.8MHz is the calling/distress frequency - you'll have to find the frequencies for your nearest coast radio station. Ships HF radio for private telephone connections are non-existent now that ships don't have Radio Officers - I guess passenger ships will have satphone and will charge excessively for their use. Any recordings of private radiotelephone calls should be kept private as they may contravene the 'Secrecy of Correspondence' acts from years gone by. The old 'trawler band' in the MF 2MHz band is non-existent too, they use the VHF band ship-to-ship but they all talk an in-company secret language so as not to give away where they are catching all the fish!
