Does anyone know what ranges the internal bandpass filters are for the 436 (or later models) are?
In the past, one of the things I'm pretty sure that Uniden prided itself over compared to GRE was the use of separate bandpass filters for vhf airband and the rest of the vhf commercial / amateur bands, whereas GRE used a single 108-174 mhz bandpass filter in some models.
I'm wondering if that is true today? I'm not having problems listening to my airband stuff, but just wondering, especially since the 436 is also capable of FM Broadcast (something I'm NOT interested in with a handheld scanner), and I'll either be freaked out or impressed if Uniden is using a single large 88-174 mhz bandpass. I hope not.
Would love to hear from some of you hardware gurus about this ...
