BCD436HP/BCD536HP: Interrupted Transmissions

New to the forums and new to a bcd436. Any help is greatly appreciated.
My scanner is getting the transmissions I desire, but they are interrupted every few seconds by what seems to me is a “priority channel check” like my older scanners could do. I can’t seem to turn that function off on this scanner. Internet searching hasn’t helped so far.. thanks!

Thanks folks. Using all the info given so quickly, I determined I was set for CC Priority. There not much near me in the bands I am scanning so nothing was picking up. Turned that off and I'm easy listening. Thanks again!!!

It sounds like Close Call or one of the priority modes are turned on. Each of these will cause interruptions in the received signal. Check to see if you have any of these turned on:

Priority Scan
Close Call
Weather Priority

Thanks so much. Been a scanner junkie all my life, despite being in Fire and EMS since I was 19. Finally was able to upgrade to a trunking scanner. I'll be navigating thru Sentinel pretty soon... Wow these things have CHANGED! 🤣
