On the yahoogroup "scaniowa", two folks have said ISP - Des Moines Base has changed frequencies to 155.6475. Personally, from Iowa County I only hear Des Moines State on 155.640, nothing on 155.6475 while manually changing back and fourth during a transmission. FCC records say nobody in the entire state is licensed on 155.6475 as well.

These two folks remain 100% positive 155.640 is no longer in use and 155.6475 is now the new BASE frequency. Can anyone else from the Des Moines area confirm what is being used?

I'm listening to them now on 155.640, I haven't changed anything but switched to narrowband. I think they may either have frequency alignment issues or some other equipment failure.

155.6475 doesn't even look like a 'standard' frequency. What separation would that be? .0025?

I agree, Alignment issues... But I'm banned from the group now, so keep me posted I guess

I know my IC-208h wouldn't tune that frequency...

There was two people hearing it, however, I was hearing Des Moines base on my radio in Fort Dodge just fine with the proper CTCSS.

Burner50, check your PM.

It seems both parties have considered the overwhelming evidence against their case and concluded that it must be either equipment or user error.

False alarm :)

State Patrol hasn't switched any frequencies. They have gone to narrow banding ala the FCC mandate coming up. The yahoogroup peeps are wrong.
