Sorry, I should have provided a bit more info. I'm using a handheld Baofeng DM-1701. It's a handheld I leave on my desk or take with me. I have created a Digital Contact called OPS with ID 100. It is part of my Elgin Fire Group List. Colour Code 10, Repeater Slot 1. RX-Only, so I don't screw up and piss people off. I reloaded the radio, maybe a setting got corrupted on load?

No, corruption really isn't something you see, If you are getting audio of some sort then your settings are most likely correct. Whats your location? Are you in Elgin county? I find outside of the county reception gets very spotty pretty quickly.

Try reloading the code plug. Other then that you might require a firmware update for that radio.

Thanks for the ideas, guys. I'm located in Dutton, so should be clear. The old VHF and UHF dispatch channels work fine. I won't have time now until next week likely. But, I'll play around with firmware versions, then reload my code plug and see if I can make any progress.

I can take a look at your codeplug too if you like. You shouldn't have any issues with RX in Dutton... so something funky going on!

It appears something was corrupted on that radio. I started over with a fresh code plug, and put all of the same settings in from scratch. Reloading the old plug didn't fix the issue, but starting from scratch with a freshblank .rdt file seems to have done the trick. Thanks for all the help and ideas everybody.
