Is My SDS200 Fried?

After a lightning strike very near my house, my SDS200 will not power up.
How do I tell if it is "dead" or needs a "reset"?

I did not have an external antenna outside at the time.

Any help? Thanks

hopefully only the power adapter got zapped.
do you have a way to check that ?
check the radio with the 12V cord ?

No light , no sound, no picture usually is a indication of no power. The rear power connector is center pin +. If you have the original box I believe a DC cigarette lighter power cord came with the unit. Keep us posted.

If the unit was turned off at the time you have a good chance that just the DC adapter died.

Or possibly a diode inside that "absorbs" too much coming in. It is fixable by Uniden repair.
