Sure it will work fine as long as you don't have anything digital that you want to listen too.

Pro-95

The PRO-95 is a great scanner, but it is quickly losing its usefullness. Digital is but one issue. It does not tune directly to many new narrow banded frequencies. It does not handle most rebanded Motorola type trunked radio systems.

So it all depends on where you are and what you want to listen to. If you're out in the boonies and only want to hear conventional stuff, it will do just fine.

I really, really liked the Pro-95 (owned three of them over the years). For my local area it would still be very useful (with a few exceptions). However, I got tired of the weak backlighting. Loved the green display, but just isn't that bright. With my old eyes, I need all the help I can get!

It depends entirely on where you are. Tell us the system(s) you want to monitor and we can advise you.
