Noticed today that I had not heard any Jackson county EMS (5-queen) dispatches in a while - I have 155.100 100.0 programmed.

This matches the RR database, anyone else not hearing this as well? Updates?

I have researched FCC information and can not find anything that might help.

Best thing to do, is safely at a distance, hang around an ambulance or shed and use your Stalker/Search functions to hear when they are en-route, etc.

ok here's a good one..

I have a scanner/streaming app for my android phone. Lucky enough to be able to get my local agencies on it.

Sooo.. I turn it on, park myself about 750ft from the main 911 dispatch tower here in town.. turn on spectrum sweeper on the psr-800. Not even 5 minutes pass and boom there are the ambulance paging tones on the android app.. the scanner stayed silent.

What the **** is going on?

They are not being dispatched nearby on the 911 tower but on some freq at a different location (a frequency that apparently is hard to find! I hate it when I can't find the frequency like that.)Try to send a message to the feed provider you heard or see if the frequency is listed on their feed details.

I'll try to find out where the feed is coming from; however that location is their 911 dispatch center for the whole county actually. I'm sure it is coming from there.

I'm going to try to get hold of an analog scanner this weekend and see if it is something odd about the psr-800 perhaps.

I saw a number of ambulance/hospital frequencies on the Jackson County wiki. Maybe they are using a shared frequency with other agencies or a hospital? I can't say though, since I'm not from the area. If nothing else, I'd check the UHF business band. Might try any local trunking systems also. Both have been used in my area before for EMS agencies.

Well, finally found them. The scanner and dl'd info into ezscan showed a pl of 100.0 , changed it to SRCH and there they were. They have been using 100.0 for years, wonder what happened?

So, they are not on the 100.0 Tone anymore, common issue. It could be that they were getting problems with skip on their channel with the other tone, or it could be just regular local bleed.
