I currently have two nooelec dishes at my QTH in N. Colorado--one pointed at AMER 98w and one pointed at 54w AOR E.
I am golden on 98w with NCS.TFC,8400 baud voice and acars 600,1200,10500 bps being copied.
On 54w however, I have not been able to copy the 10500 bps ACARS nor have I been able to find any 8400 bps voice. I don't believe that this bird has any 1200 bps acars? I'm good with the NCS channel on 1541.45 and 600 bps acars.
Would appreciate hearing comments from those monitoring 54w in N. America, especially your frequency ranges for 8400 voice. On 98w it's very easy, as I tune to a large signal (I've been told it's John Deere Tractor data ) near 1543.075 and use that as a marker. The 8400 bps voice ribbons eventually start cropping up just to the left of this signal.
Thanks es 73!
