• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

The current Java Feed method is no longer being supported. Windows blocks it. It will not work on Windows machines due to the security certificates not signed or properly updated, as well as other issues. I verified this on Firefox, IE8, and Chrome. The system needs to be updated if we want to continue using the Java Option. I even tried changing my security settings, and it was still blocked because of those issues.

Ok I think i figurged it out. Heres what you do.

1. Open up Java.

2. Click on Security

3. Click on "Edit site list"

4. Add Broadcastify to the list

Now doing this will prompt warnings saying there could be a risk and just click ignore and then you should be able to play Java.

TY, somehow the system we use for the java feeds still needs to be updated so you don't have to go through this.
