I've got a JK as well. Have the same RAM tablet holder mounted in the same place..

What's going on under the radio where the register vents are supposed to be??

The tablet is actually mounted to a Ram Pole mounted to a "Havis" floor mount.... Vents are still operable, those are "Vent Pods" (ventpodusa.com), I have a clock and volt meter mounted there.

I've never seen those vent covers before.. They look good. Out of interest, rather than the floor mounted pole, I just use a RAM claw fastened to the passenger grab rail. Comes off in seconds and leaves nothing there. Much friendlier for passengers.

I use to have it mounted to the grab bar also, but the table got bigger and bigger..lol and wanted a little more stability. Plus I have a keyboard setup for it also,

There is a company that makes a RAM ball that replaces one of the hex bolts that holds the grab rail on. I got one then purchased a RAM cell phone holder and its working out great. My phone mount comes off the left side bolt with a short arm keeping the phone within the drivers reach without crowding the passenger or covering up any dash controls. I can post a pic or find the mfr if anyone is interested.

Looks good!

I'm not being critical of any of the setups shown here as each person can set it up how they want in their vehicle. I am, however, going to mention the usual "be careful of airbag deployment zones" warning as items in their way can/will become dangerous flying objects (at crazy high speeds) if an airbag goes off due to a crash. As is the advice of many experts and those who experience such injuries, I would never clamp/mount anything directly to/in front of any airbags. Just my two cents!
