• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

Does anyone know if Johnson County fire on 154.010 has turned down the power output to the countywide paging network. On Weds 12/28/16 at 8:30AM I heard a dispatch for a call but the signal and audio was very low. Is anyone hearing what I am hearing? Used to hear Johnson County fire very loud on the audio and signal on a Bearcat 300 that I use on my night stand. Very low signal and audio from the Northwest side of Indy.

I'm noticed it cut out a time or two also. Maybe 2-3 times in the last month or so. The signal just drops out to a static and it remains staticky until the transmission drops.
