I'm not familiar with that model, but your going to be out of luck if it isn't trunk tracking and/or digital. But you should be able to monitor air traffic, marine traffic, businesses, media, railroads and others. Just check the database for your area and put them in your scanner.

As for a manual as to how to input the frequencies, if it didn't come with one you can do a Google search and find something online. With most of the older scanners all you had to do is hit program (pgm), enter the frequency and then hit enter.

The 135 will only work on conventional frequencies. What do you want to monitor? Clearwater is EDACS standard and the Pinellas county system is a Motorola system that is mainly analog voice (for now) they are supposedly going digital eventually. A PRO 164 or PRO 107 I-SCAN analog will work for Clearwater and the Pinellas county system for now. When the county does go digital and if they do not encrypt then you may want a digital scanner.
Here is the frequency range for your PRO 135.25-27.9950 (5khz)
108-136.9875 (12.5khz)
137-174 (5khz)
380-399.9875 (12.5khz)
400-512 (6.25khz)

Here is the information on the scanners I mentioned.

so are you saying i might as well go out and buy a new scanner.....if so what model would you recomend? and what is the cost range

Everyone will have recommendations. I think Radio Shack still has their sale on the Pro 106 and 197. Both are digital and trunk tracking. I have the 106 and am very pleased with it.

If you want a great analog scanner either the Pro 163 or 164 are good scanners.

What it comes down to is your budget and your needs for scanning.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8900/5.0.0.900 Profile/MIDP-2.1 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

What about a 396T for 200 programmed for pinellas? Its digital, works fine. With programming software you can configure it to your liking.

I used to own a Pro95 and sold it to a friend who is currently using and monitoring locally. As I recall it wii trunk with just the control channels so that makes for faster programming. Also I believe starrsoft has freeware that allows pc programming if you have the proper cable, available thru ratshack or GRE.
