Ka1102
SSSG, you'll love it. The size is quite travel friendly and it is a quality radio. FM/SW/MW - it's all impressive. It was every bit as good as my old Sangean ATS-909 (that I ebayed). The only things I missed were LW (I like looking for beacons), a tuning knob (I'm weird and old fashioned, I guess) and I had to carry a cheat sheet with me to make sure I programmed the alarm right when I took it on trips! I actually ended up giving my 1102 to a co-worker who travels with it and I bought a KA1101 for the road and a KA1103 for the house. The KA1101 is a breeze to set the alarm on and perfect size for a computer backpack.
One note - SSB on the 1102 seems like it was a notch better than the 1103 has been.
Kaito makes a great radio and you'll have a lot of fun with it - guaranteed. Many of my co-workers have even commented on how good these radios are(I bring them on-site to listen since the FM really works well in big concrete warehouses and other places I end up) and asked where they can find them.
