So I knew Independence PD, and Kansas City PD had gone encrypted, but has everything within the MAARS network gone encrypted? I can hear Clay County Dispatch, and a few cars, and it varies in other places. Platte County Sherriff I hear nothing out of. North Kansas City, Unable to hear. Pleasant Valley PD dispatch I can hear.
I found this forum with encrypted agencies but it does not appear to be accurate if I can hear Clay County Dispatch.

Most all dispatch channel groups are open. All the TAC channels both PD and Fire are encrypted. At least in Johnson county.

It's a wiki article, not a forum, and it's not complete.
The better way to tell if something is encrypted or not is the Mode column in the database. If it contains an E or e then that talkgroup or frequency is encrypted full time or part time. All the data is user submitted so it may not be up to date or accurate. The only way to tell for sure is direct monitoring. Even then something could change later.

I've noticed its hit and miss. The information of RR isn't fully accurate. Cass County dispatch and ops appears mostly open unless its only a select number of officers I'm hearing. KCFD is still fully open. Independence Fire has gone encrypted. NKCPD I've heard on occasions. Jackson County I can hear a number of officers still and dispatch.

It changes very frequently

This is why I still program encrypted talkgroups in my scanners, just in case it changes.
