During the storms today around noon we had tornado warnings all over and around Kansas City, I monitored this new SKYWARN 146.10/70 but never heard anything. I did find plenty of action on the MERS 154.13 and Clay / Platte 146.79 who eventually set up a net . Anybody have information on what is going on with the SKYWARN freq?

wbigcount, How far were you away from this repeater? I am right at 15 miles, and have had no problem untill today.

I was monitoring 146.7000 107.2 and didn't hear anything either.

146.82 had some actively but was barely readable in Independence!

What would be helpful is if the MERS 154.13 was streamed via RR or by pleasant hill!!!

I heard some traffic on 145.47 and 147.21 early on.

Can't say that I heard anything on 146.7 though.

I had to lock MERS out of my scan list this afternoon because of some station transmitting a tone every 10 to 15 seconds.
Whoever is doing it is very weak from my location on the repeater input of 153.905 MHz.

146.700 Skywarn

I was mobile in Warsaw that day and heard the 146.700; also worked it from Sedalia after the tornado went through there. If you can't hear the repeater, you must have something wrong with your radio, antenna, or programming.

To be honest, i checked the 146.7 repeater before the storm really made its way into Missouri.....so the chances are good the frequency just wasn't being used yet.

I checked the Kansas streams, and found no streams there for MERS either.

Since my broadband connection seems to have to stabilized now, I may apply to stream these.

The power gets a little wacky around here during storms, but because of where I am located, the storms are usually finished in the Kansas City area by the time they reach here.
