We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

I have not been able to pickup anything from Kennecott (including DMR) and I am just on the Tooele County side of Farnsworth Peak. Seems I'd at least be able to pick up DMR with my SDS100. I don't have a problem with other local frequencies. Can anyone please share some tips and tricks for Kennecott?

Thanks Chris,

I think my "problem" for picking up anything (DMR specifically) is that I live on the West side of the Oquirrh mtn's sort of under Farnsworth Peak. Even though the coverage map shows the range of covered area exceeds my area (Stansbury/Erda) the proximity to the mtn and tower is blocking the signal. I can go around to the other side..say in Magna... and can receive some communication.
