• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

Just got a TK 7360 installed that I am planning on using with digital modes (mainly using FL Digi) on 2 meters.

I plan to use a SignaLink USB between the computer and radio and would like to connect via the TK 7360's DB 15 port.

I have the KCT 60 DB 15 to molex cable.

Should I just get the unterminated SignaLink cable (SLUSBNC) ?

Which pins go where?

And if so where do I get the molex pins to crimp onto it so that I can connect it to the KCT-60 molex plug?

Thank you.

I could not figure out how to get it to work through the back DB15 port.

I made a cable out of some cat5 and a couple of rj45 connectors and have it working perfectly through the mic port.

I want to be able to leave the mic connected while interfacing through the SignaLink.

Any ideas?

I am assuming the KCT-60 is a straight pass though?

If not then well I have no idea.

Receive works fine though it, cannot get it to TX though.

Works perfectly with the cat5 cable I just made for the mic port.

I don't have the programming software for that radio, so I'm not sure how it works.

I do know from doing this on NX-700's and NX-900's that there are some settings you have to do with the DI line, telling it where to get it's input, etc.

Check your PM's....
