I have a TS-50S that has NO transmit between 1.8 and 1.999 Mhz. Go to 2.000 and it transmits. (Yeah, someone opened it up, probably for CB). It transmits everywhere else just fine, any mode. Receives everywhere also. I looked at the service manual and am about to rule out the bandpass filter relays as the ones for that range go from below 1.8 to 2.5 Mhz, (I think. Gonna look at that page again though). I wonder if anyone else has seen this problem? I had to replace a bunch of those little "time-bomb" electrolytics to fix the well-known -6 volt ALC board problem. This 160 meter no transmit problem is just weird. Any help appreciated. Thanks, Bob

Well, after a good night's rest and further perusal of the service manual and the logic chart, it appears that it IS in the relays for that segment OR the logic circuit supplying the voltage to them. BTW: for information, those relays are 12 VDC and they are available. SO, back to the FILTER BOARD for further investigation, (AFTER a cold 807 !!!). 73 to all.
