Hello all........
I know this has been posted before but I cannot find the thread(s) so please bear with me.
Would someone be kind enough to please VERIFY OR list the CORRECT key combinations for the following:
1. For the BC296D and BC796D: to view Current Firmware Version: HOLD DOWN 2,4 & 9 WHILE POWERING UP SCANNER . Once you have viewed the firmware version, does one simply turn off the scanner and then turn it back on to return to normal operation?
To reset all programmed data in the scanner: HOLD DOWN 2,9 & MAN WHILE POWERING UP SCANNER. Also, once again I presume you turn off the scanner and turn it back on to return to normal so you can begin to re-program it.
2. For the BC780XLT: even though the firmware is not able to be re-flashed, I was told that you can still use the 2,4 & 9 combination to view what firmware is in the radio, and also use the 2,9, & MAN to reset this scanner as well.
