We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

Hey Guys... I found how to do CC only and what plan to use on the 898T on Pages 46 & 47 of the BCT-8 manual. Also the EOT info is there. I found all the info for the EIGHT functions except I think #4 which just shows ON/OFF. If you turn this off it will NOT trunk.Hold down 2,4,9 and turn it on and it will tell you what firmware you have. Also the 2,9,manual will reset the radio.

I sat down with the 898T and here is some helpful (I hope) info... After you enter the system you want to program. Turn the VFO knob and you will see EIGHT options.
1 PROG F
2 PROG ID
3 SCN LIST
4 OFF ON
5 S-BIT
6 EOT
7 CC ONLY (PLAN 1,2,3,4)
8 ID LOUT

After you complete one option hit the data button and you will be back at the options. Hope this helps
