Finally got my mobile set up just the way I want it. It's my 2001 Dodge Ram 4x4 I bought new right out of highschool. It's my baby. All set up for storm season & first responder needs.

Custom made console by yours truly. I removed the factory fold down cup holder to make room for the equipment, current cup holder is from Geno's Garage & is mounted on the factory fold down center console. Faceplates are from JottoDesk.
Equipment from top to bottom:
Uniden BCT-8
Kenwood TMV-71A
Uniden 560xlt
Uniden pro 510xl

Mounted the computer for the inspeed anemometer on the factory overhead console.

So far im having lots of fun with everything. Im glad I got into ham radio & storm spotting. Everything up to this point has been a blast, & i've made countless new friends both local & abroad. My local radio club welcomed me in with open arms & the county Emergency Management did the same. A great bunch of folks in my book.

Looks good dude. I like the call sign label. Can't forget who you are. Great selection of radios. Looks like you've got a lot covered and have a good rapid attack rig. Happy storm hunting.

x100:D very impressive fab job, super nice truck, perfect rig assortment. Not overdone, not gawdy or sloppy, still room for passengers. Top notch in my book.

Great set-up! I always wanted a Toyota set-up but got a Buick instead for fuel efficiency

Thanks for the kind words guys. Im very pleased with the way it turned out. & the good thing is, all the materials, less the Jotto faceplates, I had laying around my shop so the cost was minimal.

intrepid97, no digital systems in my area & only two outfits run on 800mhz. AEP/PSO & a security company.

The bumper is my deer/cow slayer. lol. Im just waiting on a deer to run out in front of me & bust my Hella lights all to crap!!

Here are the antennas:

The first two are NMO Antenex Antennas (by Laird) on fender brackets. One for the BCT-8, one for the 560xlt.

Top two antennas are a NMO Larsen 2/70 for the Kenwood rig & a NMO Tram/Browning 27 for the Uniden 510xl. Im very pleased with the Tram antenna so far. It needed minimal tuning after installing to get the swr dialed in. Plus it was cheap. $40 at my local motorola dealer.

Did you make the brackets for the dual external speakers or buy them? If you bought them can you supply the part number?

Sorry, I built them out of some old 20 gauge angle iron I had stored in my shop. I sand blasted them & powder coated them satin black.

They're easy to make with 20 gauge angle. You can pick it up at Lowes or Home Depot. It's lightweight & easy to work with.
