KFDI Wichita 450.05

Does KFDI in Wichita still use 450.05 for storm spotting and traffic reports? I've been in Wichita the last few storm events and 450.05 has been silent. I know they used to be very active in the past. Thanks.

I have had those programmed in for a while and also haven't heard anything the past few storm seasons

That's what I thought as well. Sounds like everyone is getting away from 2-Way radio and relying on their phones and other technology to communicate. Sign of the times. Thanks for the reply.

I heard Mobile 20 and 22 talking direct on this frequency during the storms yesterday. Sounds like the repeater is out of service. I will continue to monitor.
