Yes.
How often do they go out of stock? I’ve been looking at a few different options but they seem really hard to come by. Is it worth waiting for them to come back in stock or just try to find a cheap KVL3000/4000 and stick with it? It’s just to play around with, nothing regarding professional or public use of keys.

From what I’ve seen, they usually go out of stock every few weeks.
Look into KFDPico. Should be on eBay for around $125-135. The developer of the Pico is on top of it and usually has stock ready to ship. It runs the KFDTool software, which has now been taken to version 1.8.7, and has its own firmware fork. Works flawlessly.

I got the original KFDtool during the first rollout and also the mini when it was first offered. No delays back then.

I have a Pico, and it works well. I only wish it was encapsulated rather than a bit of heatshrink.
I just purchased one, neat little device. Anyone ever issues with the latest KFDtool software (1.5.0) not recognizing device, specifically the KFDpico?
I don’t see any options for devices or ports, it just states, under the device tab of the software “No devices found”
You need the updated software, available HERE. The original KFD software won't recognize the Shield, Nano, Pico, etc. Verson 1.8.7 is the latest, and works with all devices.
