FLASH! - KPH, KFS and K6KPH Return To The Air on Saturday 17 March (MRHS) -
The crack MRHS Transmitter Department announced today that after a long absence from the air stations KPH, KFS and K6KPH will return, at least
partially, on Saturday 17 March. On-air operations were suspended some
months ago due to antenna maintenance issues. Some of those issues have now
been resolved with the result that a partial return to operation is now
possible. Listen for KPH, KFS and K6KPH on these Morse frequencies:

KPH 8642.0
KPH 12808.5
KPH 17016.8

KFS 12695.5

K6KPH 14050

We expect continued operation on these frequencies each Saturday with more
to be added as additional antenna problems are resolved.

VY 73,

MRHS

Have they resumed their RTTY transmissions yet? If so, what frequencies are used for that? Their original website at radiomarine.org is not coming up anymore (I get a "502 Bad Gateway" error). I refuse to visit Facebook, so I'm kind of in the dark here.

Their website is only temporarily down, and they are working to restore it.

They are in operation every Saturday on their MF and HF frequencies on CW (426/4247/6477.5/8642/12808.5/17016.8/22477.5 kHz for KPH. KFS: 12695.5 kHz), and apparently on 6328.0, 8433.0 and 12631.0 kHz in RTTY (Baudot & FEC). The amateur station, K6KPH, operates on 3550, 7050, 14050 18097.5 and 21050 kHz. They usually guard (monitor) 7050, 14050 18097.5 and 21050 when the station is in operation on Saturdays, and sometimes Sunday.

Hope that helps, 73.

Thanks, Greg! I think I used to have those frequencies in a list along with the other KPH frequencies, but somehow lost them in the shuffle when transferring the info from a plain-text file to an outliner. I kind of miss decoding good old baudot RTTY, and rarely encounter it on the ham bands these days. FEC is more available, as I manage to decode the USCG's Navtex transmissions on a regular basis.
