Both the Eldorado (112) and Wichita (113) towers are showing a new connection this morning to Tower 111 (10B hex). Primary connection is showing on 867.23750 and I believe this will be the Cowley County tower site. I can't get a signal from the CC here in Newton (that tower is right at 70 miles distance from me). Anybody closer that can get more info on it? I might get something this evening when I get home and can use the high antenna (76 feet) on the tower....

I also heard Radio Maintenance talking about going out to the Chase (Cottonwood Falls) tower site yesterday, 4/11, to resolve some problems. I haven't heard anything out of that one yet, but I am assuming it will end up as Tower 114 (10E hex). That will only leave the Mayfield (Sumner County, (115) ???) and Hutchinson (Reno county) towers left in Southcentral KS. I would guess the Hutch tower will come up before the State Fair in September, if at all, this year.

Looks like the Chase tower will go active sometime next week if the weather works for the radio guys. They had some connection issues that come up with Motorola last week. They hope to have it on-line by the end of next week.
