LAKE COUNTY - A natural gas explosion happened Monday afternoon at a mine near Leadville.
The Lake County Sheriff's Office says the explosion happened at Climax Mine which is about 12 miles northeast of Leadville on Highway 81. It happened shortly after 1 p.m. and no injuries have been reported but few details are known at this time.
