I know we have discussed this ....are the NPS rangers on p25 full time ?
Which of the frequencies do I put in?, I'm working on a xtl code plug for my truck and am looking for the "main" dispatch ch.
It used to be called "700"
I come in the 40 most of the time so Im thinking Mt Wilson... or should I put Wilson and Perkins in?

This is a good source of information. The Lake MEAD (not Meade) frequencies are the subject of some threads here on RR. Updates to the database are steady so a lot of people pay attention to this National Recreation Area.

EDIT: How do you come "in the 40 most of the time" since the 40 doesn't come close to Las Vegas? You either come in via I-15, U.S. 95 or U.S. 93 from the north or south. Which one you use makes a difference in what repeater you program.

NPS, non E P25, 169.625 is the dispatch freq. 171.775 is a good old analog freq.

I don't know about your area, but some of the parks and recreational areas in Texas use the LE end of the Army Corp of Engineers.

Well, I stand corrected--my apologizes. I'm running 169.625 and I'm hearing Lake Mead NPS transmissions in the Boulder City area.

Thank you KCA6YU for the freq info.

In an attempt to answer your question:

Try all the Perkins Freq's for the Katherine Landing & Cottonwood Cove areas (I'm not sure which one(s) will work.)

Use 169.625 for the Willow Beach and Boulder areas (Confirmed they are on that freq.)

There are three main districts the NPS Rangers can be assigned to (Mohave, Canyon, or Mead.)
