LAKEWOOD - Investigators are trying to figure out what caused a fire at a church in Lakewood Sunday night.
The fire started just after 9 p.m. on Sunday at the Lakewood Church of the Nazarene on Dover Street, just north of Colfax.
The church includes several buildings and the fire badly damaged a building which houses the daycare center, according to investigators.
Authorities say no one was inside at the time of the fire.
Officials say the main sanctuary was not damaged.
The pastor says he is already receiving support during this tough time.
Parents are being told not to bring their children to the church daycare, which usually has about 75 kids, because it is so badly damaged.
