TV 8 has advised that this is now a three alarm fire. Their video is showing flames and smoke.

Monitoring now and recording the action with Unitrunker... geez, and I can't see the Monte Carlo from here where I live in downtown either. Fire on the roof spreading in both directions... ouch.

I have that up, but I can't handle a bazillion people connecting so... I'm not monitoring any specific talkgroup since they're spread across several, so I'm just piping out the feed off the 246T as it picks up whatever's going on.

Use Windows Media Player to listen in... if it overloads obviously the connection will choke, I'm on a 512 Kbps upload and currently the stream is set for about 37 Kbps so, a few people can hop on.

If you here that "beep" sometimes, I'm locking out irrelevant talkgroups as something comes up, right now they're down to about 4 TGs specifically, Zone 3 TAC 6, 7, 8 and 9 so I'm trying to narrow it down to just those. :)

Open Windows Media Player and load this URL into it using File - Open URL:

mms://70.173.176.204:5150

Give it a minute or two to buffer and you'll be picking up the stream.

an error keeps coming up.
Windows Media Player cannot play the file because the specified protocol is not supported. If you typed a URL in the Open URL dialog box, try using a different transport protocol (for example, "http:" or "rtsp:").

Activity is somewhat quieter now, I believe most of the fire if not all of it has been knocked down, so it's basically checking now and getting all the firemen rehabbed with new air tanks and supplies. I'll leave the stream running until they call it a day.

Not sure why that's coming up on your machine, are you copying and pasting that entire URL into File - URL ? It's a Multi-Media-Server stream (MMS) so that's why it uses mms:// instead of http://

No one else has said it's not working, and right now I only have 5 people connected so I should be able to handle a few more easily. Sorry if it's not working on your end.

Not off this piddly 512 Kbps line, no. I'm doing this because it's not that hard to just throw up Windows Media Encoder for an event like this on a temporary basis.
